Klinik Farma – The fate of Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School or Islamic Boarding School is now in jeopardy after its leader Panji Gumilang has been named a suspect in a blasphemy case.
The public is currently awaiting two options that may arise regarding the fate of the Al-Zaytoun Islamic boarding school, namely whether the institution established by Panji Gumilang will be dissolved or not.
The arrest of Panji Gumilang did not affect the activities of the Islamic boarding school.
Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security (Menko Polhukam) Mahfoud M.D. stressed that, despite the arrest of the leader, the pupils of the Islamic boarding school Al-Zaytoun continued to study as usual.

Mahfoud also emphasized that Panji Gumilang, not Al-Zaytoun as a whole, is in charge of the legal issues.
“Because the Al-Zaytoun Islamic boarding school as an educational institution for pesantren does not present any problems,” Mahfoud told reporters on Thursday (03/08/2023).
Mahfoud also stressed that the government was waiting for the leadership of the Al-Zaytoun Islamic boarding school so that they could continue their educational activities.
“Detain those concerned or not, we expected to keep running or running the Al-Zaytoun Islamic boarding school,” said Mahfoud, MD.
Al Zaytun students also have the right to continue their education at an Islamic boarding school, Mahfoud said.

Mahfoud’s statement also signaled that Al-Zaytun would not be disbanded immediately.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, in a statement at the Central Jakarta Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Thursday (03/08/2023), stressed that the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) will take over the Al-Zaytun curriculum.
The Governor also agreed with Mahfoud that it is a constitutional right for students to continue their education at Al Zaitoun.
The man, familiarly called Kang Emil, also said that there are thousands of Al-Zaytun students whose rights must be respected.

Ace told reporters on Thursday (03/08/2023) that he was not taken on because the legal issue is with the figure of Panji Gumilang and not with the Islamic boarding school Al-Zaytoun.
