Support Green Business, UNTR Acquires Geothermal Company

PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR), through its subsidiary PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), has acquired a geothermal company to support the development of its clean energy business. EPN also signed a Shares Agreement (PPSB) to acquire 40.476% of the new shares issued by PT Supreme Energy Sriwijaya (SES).

SES is a shareholder in PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap (SERD), a 2 x 49 MW geothermal licensed company operating in Lahat District, Pagar Alam City and Muara Enim District, South Sumatra.

“The investment in PT Supreme Energy Sriwijaya is in line with the company’s business development strategy and its commitment to further develop the clean energy business as part of the United Tractors Group’s sustainable development program in 2030,” UNTR President Frans Kesuma said in a statement. Meanwhile, SERD itself has the option to increase its capacity to 2 x 110 MW in the future under their Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with PLN.

The PPSB signing was presented by Chinthya Theresa Am and Boy Gemino Kaloserang as EPN CEO and Director, and Supramu Santosa and Nisriyanto as SES CEO and Director.

For your information, PPSB will be held on Monday (7/7/2023). EPN is owned by a company 51.01% owned by PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) and 48.99% owned by PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA). The signing process was directly overseen by Frans Kesuma as UT President-Director, Hendra Khutahian as PAMA President-Director and Aditya Praristama as SE Commissioner. Completion of the Participation Agreement is subject to the fulfillment of preconditions to be met by each party.
