Jakarta, Klinik Farma – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited the war zone in Ukraine, where he inspected command posts and met with the highest military command.

Reported InterfaxOn Friday (04/08/2023), Shoigu was informed by the group commander and thanked the officers and troops for “conducting a successful operation” near Liman.

Television footage shows Shoigu in uniform listening to a report by General Andrei Mordvichev, commander of the Central Military Unit in Ukraine.

He was also shown a Swedish CV-90 infantry fighting vehicle abandoned by retreating Ukrainian soldiers after being hit by a hand-held anti-tank grenade, and Shoigu was introduced to the “shortcomings” of the Swedish model.

The report is in line with Russia’s efforts to downplay the effectiveness of weapons and equipment that NATO members and other Western countries supply to Ukraine.

Shoigu’s trip took place a few days after a visit to the front by General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff and Commander-in-Chief of Russia’s military operations in Ukraine.

The last time Shoigu was at the front was in late June after the failed uprising of the Russian paramilitary group Wagner, who fought alongside Moscow’s troops in Ukraine.
