Mellisa said that the meeting took place yesterday Wednesday (09/08/2023). At this point, Bintang befriended Mellisa’s client.

“Therefore, yesterday we also took these victims to a meeting with the Minister of Women and Children. And Mother Bintang has been supportive,” Mellisa told South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) on Thursday (October 8, 2023).

Melissa said Bintang praised her client’s courage in having the courage to come forward with allegations of sexual harassment during a body check.

“What they are doing at this time is an extraordinary thing that should be appreciated because it will break the chain and there will be no more such victims in the future,” Mellisa said.

In addition, Mellisa acknowledged that Bintang was willing to provide legal assistance, such as making recommendations from criminal justice experts if later required for interrogation.

“Yes, he supports me. Later, if necessary, he will help criminal experts,” he explained.

In addition, Mellisa admitted that so far she has accompanied 8 Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 finalists who are suspected of sexual harassment.

Earlier, Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that it was investigating a case of alleged sexual harassment against Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 finalists.

Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said the report is currently being studied by investigators.

“The basis of this report will be used by Polda Metro Jaya as the basis for further investigation,” Trunoyudo told reporters on Tuesday (August 8, 2023).

Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 finalist with the initials N reported on Monday (07/08/2023) about alleged harassment related to a body examination or a nudity check in Polda Metro Jaya.

At that time, Melisa reported that her report had been received and registered under the number: LP/B/4598/VII/2023 SPKT POLDA METRO JAYA. He said that the reporter for the alleged harassment case was PT Capella Swastika Karya.

In her report, Mellisa continued, the victim suspected the accused under Section 4, Section 5, Section 6, Section 14, and Section 15 of the Sexual Assault Act, or TPKS.

“Finally, we have reported the alleged harassment of our client,” Mellisa said at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta on Monday (July 8, 2023).

To strengthen her account, Mellisa claims to have included a number of pieces of evidence. Some of them are presented in the form of documents, photos and videos.

According to Mellisa, the alleged sexual harassment occurred on August 1, 2023. At the time, the victim was asked to undergo a nudity examination, which he said was not part of the sequence of events or narrative.

“During the rundown, there was no body check, they were pointed out, it was enough to hit our client. A competitive event that should add value to women was seen as an object,” he said.
