Jakarta, Klinik Farma – The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia has finally spoken out about the detention of former Director General of Minerals and Coal (Dirjen Minerba) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ridwan Jamaluddin.
The head of the AGO Legal Information Center, Ketut Sumedana, explained that the detention was related to a case brought by the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office of Southeast Sulawesi. In addition to Ridwan Jamaluddin, AGO also detained another person, namely H.J. as the coordinator of the RKAB (Work Plan and Budget) in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
“This is related to the Southeast Sulawesi Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, which has named 10 suspects (people) so far. Today we named 2 suspects on behalf of the suspect RJ, namely the former Director General of Minerals and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the second on behalf of HJ. as coordinator of the RKAB of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources,” Ketut said at a press conference at the AGO building, Jakarta on Wednesday (09/08/2023).
He said the case had cost the state up to IDR 5.7 trillion.
“So both from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, where the stakeholder role is to ensure policy related to the Mandiodo bloc, which leads to a total state loss of 5.7 trillion Indonesian rupees,” he explained.
“Once again I convey that of the two suspects we have named today, and we have 10 suspects, we have named them, yes, this is a case in the South East Sulawesi High Court,” he said.
According to Klinik Farma’s monitoring at the AGO building in South Jakarta, Ridwan Jamaluddin left the AGO building at 17:53 WIB on Wednesday (08/09/2023) wearing an AGO prisoner’s pink vest and handcuffed.
Ridwan came out accompanied by two AGO officers.
