Former Commerce Minister Muhammad Lutfi, dressed in long-sleeved blue batik, challenges the Attorney General’s Office.

Klinik Farma – Former Minister of Commerce (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi was present to fulfill a call from the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia to investigate an alleged corruption case regarding crude palm oil export permits (CPO) on Wednesday (08.09.2023).

The head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia, Ketut Sumedana, previously stated that Lutfi would be present to execute the interrogation summons.

“M.L. as the former Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Indonesia, through his attorney, confirmed that M.L. will appear as a witness on Wednesday, August 9, 2023,” Ketut told reporters on Tuesday (August 8, 2023).

The Lutfi survey was originally scheduled to take place on August 1, 2023. However, Lutfi was unable to attend on the grounds that he was accompanying his wife’s treatment.

Ketut explained that Lutfi’s second interrogation was conducted in the context of the development of three corporate suspects. Not only Lutfi, he said, the investigators also opened the door for re-interrogation of the Coordinating Minister of Economy (Coordinating Minister of Economy) Airlangga Hartarto.

“For A.Kh. a second call is possible if the investigators still need his testimony for further investigation, ”he explained.

As you know, on June 22, 2022, Lutfi was interrogated by the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia. Meanwhile, Airlangga was inspected yesterday Monday (24/07/2023).

Airlanga’s interrogation lasted 12 hours. The general chairman of the Golkar Party was asked a total of 46 questions by investigators from the Special Crimes Investigation Department of the Attorney General (Jampidsus).
